Well another day off work and low and behold an off roading adventure costs me a new alternator... could have been worse. Thanks for making it out again greg... Its getting expensive hang'n out with you on days off.

About 250,000 miles and runs like new. Alternator is the first non routine part i have changes sense i bought the truck.

now that is impressive! Says a lot for the brand and your attention to PM. Had an 02 Yukon - got rid of it at 235k. after it lost 2 computer modules - not too expensive but considering that the engine, transmission, rear end had never been opened and I was on the original shocks, original starter and2nd set of brake pads, i figured it was time.
Isn't it amazing though - it wasn't too long ago that getting 100k was considered rare.

Yea as far as PM, i have been a helicopter mechanic for the past 7.5 years so i understand the importance. I bought this truck with 178K on it, did a full tune up / fluid change / plugs / breaks and rotors right when i bought it to set a base line. changed pads once since then. never been inside the engine just a routine timing belt once. no telling how old the battery is in it. I wish someone made a tire that lasted foever... ;D
