Scandal85 - I'm pretty fond of that one. According to Roy Jenks of S&W it is a Military & Police Model of 1905, 4th change, .38 Special and was shipped to Beck & Gregg Hardware on Nov. 18, 1935.
My Granddad carried it as his duty weapon until the late '60s when worked for the St. Lucie County sheriff's dpt. in Ft. Pierce, Fla. I inherited it in 1973 when he passed away.
If I do my part, it will still put 158 gr. semi wads on the 8" plate out to 50 yards+. I get a real thrill and a sense of nostalgia everytime I take it out.
The grip adapter is the only thing I have changed on it - other than that is all original.
UturnWilly - ask the King Rat about the nickname!

Geez Scan - there isn't a .380 made that I would consider a 20yd gun. You might find a specimen or 2 of any model that will stay under 5" at that range from a rest but MOST are handicaped with sights that are only fair at best, short barrel equals short sight radius, and generally poor triggers. Additonaly the .380 acp round has never been noted as a very accurate round.
Having said that, I know that there are .380s that will shoot well and I'm sure someone will find fault with my logic but - hell, thats what makes all this stuff fun.

nice Glock man! I had never shot one until today...now I see why they have such a large following. I did better with the Glock than I could with my own SD!

Here's my bad boy. Just a standard Glock 19 9mm with a light here. Any idea where to find a holster big enough to put it in with the light on it? Yup we have some holsters stock for that.

Time for a little more Sig drool? In honor of the upcoming release of the P210 "Legend," here is one of the old-school models and this one is both a looker and a shooter. SIG introduced the P49 in 1949 and it continued in production to 2004. I give you the gun that started the legend..............

Bersa makes a good gun for the money. I've had 2 of their 380's for about 7 yeas.

well since I run a Bersa forum, I thought it was appropriate that I at least own one. LOL, I sold the Thunder .380 to Rotornutfd3s a few months ago, but will be getting a new one sooner or later.
