Few of us would disagree that there is any semi-automatic pistol as legendary as the ubiquitous "1911" created by the legendary John Moses Browning; but there are others that rival the eloquence of that design in many ways. The SIG P210 is at the top of that list. SIG, and then Sig Sauer produced these guns for many years and the quality was maintained throughout the production run. You just never hear of anyone having mechanical troubles with the P210. Finally Sig Sauer decided that production costs required to maintain the quality of the piece were just too high - given the "thin" demand for a pistol selling for more than $2,000. Now, Sig Sauer (German production only) is bringing the original design back - with a few very minor differences - to satisfy those of us who want to own the very finest semi-auto pistol every produced. The pic Lee posted below is of the version known as the "Legend" and will be limited to 210 pieces. After than a "plain" (if you can use that word in the same sentence with P210) version will be available at a lower cost and in greater quantities. At least that's what we're being told at this time.

One of the finest pistols i have ever handled. That's the same reaction I hear from almost everyone who shoots one for the first time. Not everyone finds the "entry fee' to be within their budget, but everyone who buys one says they do not regret having "paid the price of admission" to such a great adventure in ownership.
